Daarmee komt Bedrocan opnieuw tegemoet aan internationale farmaceutische kwaliteits- en veiligheidseisen.<\/p>\n<h2>In lijn met de eisen van GMP<\/h2>\n<p>Het is de tweede keer dat een productielocatie van Bedrocan in lijn met de eisen van GMP voor active pharmaceutical ingredient is gebracht. Eerder dit jaar behaalde de producent van gestandaardiseerde medicinale cannabis al een GMP-certificaat voor de bestaande Nederlandse productielocatie. Daarmee was Bedrocan de eerste producent ter wereld waarbij het volledige productieproces \u2013 dus ook de cultivatie \u2013 voldoet aan eisen die internationaal aan de productie van farmaceutische grondstoffen en eindproducten worden gesteld.<\/p>\n<p>Op 15 september 2017 is in de nieuwe productielocatie van Bedrocan de eerste batch gestandaardiseerde medicinale cannabis geoogst en overgedragen aan het Bureau voor Medicinale Cannabis. De nieuwe locatie heeft een vloeroppervlakte van tienduizend vierkante meter \u2013waarvan op dit moment de helft in gebruik is &#8211; en is ingericht volgens de laatste stand der techniek. Met de aanzienlijke toename in productiecapaciteit komt Bedrocan tegemoet aan de groeiende vraag naar gestandaardiseerde medicinale cannabis van farmaceutische kwaliteit.<\/p>\n<p>Sinds 2003 produceert Bedrocan medicinale cannabis voor het Nederlandse ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport. In het kader van het programma voor medicinale cannabis van het ministerie, is gestandaardiseerde cannabis op recept van de arts verkrijgbaar in Nederlandse apotheken.
