Bedrocan stand at CPhI in vogue

Bedrocan was able to answer many questions from international pharmaceutical companies at the world’s largest pharmaceutical trade fair CPhI Worldwide in Frankfurt, Germany. There was a significant amount of interest from companies that aim to use cannabis as raw material for medication.

“There is an increasing demand for cannabis-based raw materials of pharmaceutical quality. As we are GMP certified for the entire production process, we are pretty much the only real candidate for pharmaceutical companies. We received many questions about APIs that need to contain high levels of cannabinoids and terpenes. The higher, the better“, said CEO Tjalling Erkelens.

In Frankfurt, Bedrocan presented itself as a GMP supplier of plant-based full-spectrum cannabis APIs. CPhI Worldwide is the place where pharmaceutical professionals come into contact with suppliers of raw materials for medication.

Full spectrum cannabis

Full spectrum means that the cannabis flos, oil or other end product contains all the cannabinoids that naturally occur in the cannabis plant. Full-spectrum products are linked to the so-called entourage effect, a synergistic effect between more than a hundred different cannabinoids and terpenes.

Full-spectrum products have generally a different effect than cannabis products with one isolated cannabinoid, such as CBD (Cannabidiol) or THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol).
